Dr G N Shrinivas (Shrini) heads the International Markets and Global Products Engineering teams @WalmartLabs Bangalore. The teams contribute to global eCommerce sites including Walmart.Com; ASDA.Com; SamsClub.com. Under his leadership the Engineering delivered from the India Development Center (IDC) at Bangalore encompasses significant business features of ASDA.Com, SamsClub.Com, Walmart.Com and the new Walmart global platform - Pangaea. The culture of the center is one of a very high talent bar with superlative technological & intellectual curiosity. The engineering efforts are regularly interspersed with hack days, tech talks, invited industry marquee speakers etc.
Before coming to WalmartLabs, Shrini was the Chief Architect for a large CPG Account across Asia & Africa at HP Enterprise Services. Shrini, also setup and led HP’s SOA Competency Center (SOA CC) in Bangalore. Prior to HP, Shrinivas was a management consultant with Andersen Consulting and engaged in large business transformational projects in the private and public sector across India.
Shrini is an Aerospace Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (Bachelors and Masters) and has a Doctorate in Mathematical Sciences from Oxford University. Shrini has several publications in reputed international forums (including the IEEE and American Society of Mechanical Engineers - ASME)
