Vivek Pathak is head of business strategy and operations at eBay Product Development Centre, India where he focuses on product innovation and organizational development to support eBay businesses across multiple markets.The eBay Product Development Centre plays a strategic role in eBay’s global product innovation, research and development. The Center is responsible for end-to-end Thought Leadership and Technology Leadership for variety of domains, products, and technologies of eBay Platform that drive the key business metrics and serve millions of customers. The product eco system includes Product Strategy and Management, Platform and Application Development, Quality Engineering, Engineering Systems, Architecture, User Experience and Design, Information Security, Analytics, Infrastructure and Operations etc. In addition to the Global product development, the center partners with eBay India and APAC business as the technology and local innovation arm. The eBay Product Development Centre is located in Bengaluru, India.Prior to joining eBay India in July 2013, Vivek Pathak was heading Risk operations for Google Commerce and was based in US and India, where he was responsible for developing fraud fighting strategies and tools to improve fraud fighting accuracy, support monetization of various Google products, while building and managing large operations teams across global locations. Vivek also played key regional roles towards launching locally relevant Google products in the emerging markets of Africa & Asia to  drive up internet usage. Before working at Google, Vivek was associated with Western Union Inc. as the Regional Operations Head for South East Asia markets.Vivek has global managerial experience across markets in US, Asia and Europe in E-commerce, Consumer Retail and Financial services besides building, managing and leading large global teams across geographies. Vivek holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Indore and bachelors in Computer Science & Mathematics from Osmania University.
